The second annual Newburgh Jazz Series, taking place on Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August 2088, brought some of the best of the region's professional musicians and vocalists in jazz and big band swing to the Newburgh waterfront.
The Newburgh Jazz Series was founded and produced by Ferry Godmother Productions and was co-sponsored by the City of Newburgh. Ferry Godmother Productions is directed by Executive Producer Aquanetta Wright.

The Newburgh Jazz Series made history on the waterfront landing in the city of Newburgh by being both the first of its magnitude in the region, and as one of the longest running jazz series on the east coast. For more Ferry Godmother events visit www.FerryGodmother.com.
The 2008 series also showcased two visual artists. This year's featured artists are renowned painter and sculptor Richard Outlaw, showcasing his jazz themed works, and award winning photo-artist Ramona Torres, displaying her award winning photographs of Newburgh.
