Courthouse Project

General Information

City Council authroized the purchase of the Broadway School in April 2006 to serve as the new location for City Court.  Contracts for renovations of the building were awarded in October 2007 to T.M Brennan Contractors, Inc and Canale Electric Company.  Construction began soon after and is expected to be completed by the end of 2008.

• A chronology that provides an accurate history of the Broadway School site,  and clarifies the origin of the circumstances impacting the deliberations of the City Council regarding the authorization of a $6.5 million bond
