To obtain a marriage license in the City of Newburgh, the following are required:
Both bride and groom must appear in person with identification and birth certificates.
Both must be 18 years of age. If either is 16-17 years of age, the consent of both parents is required. If either is less than 16 years of age, a Court Order is required.
If either person has been married before, we will need to see the divorce decree (if marriage ended in divorce) or death certificate (if marriage ended in death).
The fee for a marriage license is $40.00 and can be obtained between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
