Newburgh has a growing and lively arts scene, driven by a growing population of artists living here and reflected in a number of galleries and special arts events.
The City of Newburgh participates in Art Along the Hudson, a cooperative promotion featuring Four Cities/Four Saturdays with a focus on the arts in four different cities on the Saturdays of each month from June to October. The schedule is as follows:
In Newburgh, the last Saturday of every month features various openings and open houses, as well as River Arts Walk — local artists showing their paintings, drawings, and photography in the open air on the waterfront.
